Infrastructure

The experimental infrastructure for the first phase of FastLab consists of the Attoline setup of the Ultrafast Laser Physics group. This setup is composed of a carrier-envelope-offset-stable Ti:sapphire amplifier system, pulse compression setups and a vacuum beamline that offers the generation of extreme ultraviolet (XUV) pulses down to attosecond duration. The amplifier offers pulse energies up to 10 mJ and its pulses can be compressed to few-cycle duration. It operates at 1 kHz pulse repetition rate. The existing XUV source will be combined with a powerful THz source. The setup supports time-resolved studies with temporal resolution from attoseconds to picoseconds. It is equipped with detectors for photo-electron and XUV spectroscopy.
